Welcome to the definitive guide for navigating the OpenMic platform. OpenMic's interface is designed to be intuitive, empowering you to create, manage, and optimize AI voice agents for your business needs. Let's walk through the main screen, referred to here as the "Command Center," and explore the features that make OpenMic a powerful tool for customer interaction.

Getting Started

Once you've signed up and logged in, you'll land on the Command Center. Below is the breakdown of the OpenMic Command Center. This is where you'll access all of OpenMic's features, set up your AI agents, and launch campaigns.

The Command Center

Your central hub for creating, managing, and optimizing your AI voice agents, the Command Center is where simplicity meets functionality. Here's a quick orientation to get you started:

  • My AI Agent: This is your creative studio. Start by crafting a new agent with our specialized templates or tweak existing ones to perfection. You'll find everything from voice customization to script editing here.

  • Prompt & Script Workspace: Central to your agent's development, this area allows you to input dialogue prompts and script responses. Make your agent's conversations as natural as possible.

  • Test Call: Located at the top right, the 'Test Call' feature lets you experience your agent's interaction firsthand, ensuring they're ready to represent your brand.

  • Customization Panel: On the right, access key features like connecting to your knowledge base for informed conversations, syncing with calendars for scheduling, and setting up call forwarding for seamless operations.

  • Knowledge Base, Campaigns, Integrations, Phone Numbers, Call Recordings, and Contacts: Each tab in the Command Center is a gateway to more specialized functions, from storing FAQs to launching marketing campaigns, integrating with thousands of apps, managing contact lists, and reviewing call analytics.

Features:

  1. My AI Agent: Craft and manage your AI representatives, tailor their scripts, and adjust their settings to match your brand's voice and objectives.

  2. Knowledge Base: Empower your AI agents with a wealth of information, enabling them to answer FAQs and handle conversations with intelligence and accuracy.

  3. Campaigns: Launch and track your marketing efforts, utilizing AI agents to reach out and engage with your audience effectively.

  4. Integrations: Connect OpenMic seamlessly with over 5,000 apps to automate workflows, synchronize data, and enhance customer interactions.

  5. Phone Numbers: Acquire and manage phone numbers that your AI agents will use to make and receive calls, giving your campaigns a professional edge.

  6. Call Recordings: Access and review recordings of all calls made by your AI agents, complete with transcriptions for analysis and training purposes.

  7. Contacts: Import and organize your contact lists, ensuring your AI agents have the right targets for their outbound communication efforts.

1. My AI Agent

At the heart of the Command Center is the My AI Agent feature. Clicking this will present you with two main options:

  1. Create a New Agent: Utilize pre-made templates designed by OpenMic for various use cases, or start from scratch to meet your unique requirements.

  2. Manage Existing Agents: Below the creation button, you'll find a history of your agents. This list allows you to access and edit any previously created AI voice agents.

Customization and Testing

In the central part of the Command Center, you'll find areas for Prompts and Scripts. This is where you can craft and refine what your agents will say and how they will interact with callers.

  • Test Call Button: Located at the top right, this feature enables you to experience a call from your AI agent firsthand, allowing for real-time adjustments to ensure your agent communicates effectively.

Connectivity and Customization Panel

On the right side of the Command Center, a suite of customization features awaits:

  • Connect a Knowledge Base Item: Equip your AI agent with all the necessary data and information to act knowledgeably during interactions.

  • Connect Calendar: Integrate your business calendar to allow your AI agent to schedule appointments based on availability.

  • End Call: Terminate the current test call.

  • Add Zapier or Custom Webhook URL: Enhance your agent's capabilities with webhooks for advanced automation.

  • Call Forwarding: Manage where your calls are directed after hours or in specific scenarios.

2. Knowledge Base:

The Knowledge Base section allows you to create a repository of information for your AI agents, providing them with the context and details needed to handle inquiries and objections with perfect recall.

Campaigns:

Under the Campaigns tab, you can:

  • Launch Your First Campaign: Use the "New Campaign" button to get your AI agent started on live calls. OpenMic simplifies campaign creation to be completed in about a minute.

  • Tips for Good Campaigns: Access valuable advice to ensure your campaign's success, helping you to craft more effective communication strategies.

3. Integrations:

The Integrations area is where you can:

  • Connect Applications: Link OpenMic with your daily tools like Google Calendar, Dropbox, Stripe, and more.

  • Synchronize with CRM: Elevate your sales process by integrating seamlessly with any CRM system.

  • Automate with Zapier: Set up complex, multi-step workflows that save time and reduce errors.

4. Phone Numbers:

Within the Phone Numbers section, manage existing numbers or acquire new ones to expand your outreach capabilities.

5. Call Recordings:

Here you can review all previous call recordings and transcriptions, organized by date and time, giving you insights into your agent's performance and customer interactions.

6. Contacts:

Finally, the Contacts section is where you import and manage your contact list. Ensure your AI agents have a robust database to connect with when campaigns launch.
