Creating an Inbound Campaign with OpenMic!

🚨 Important: OpenMic uses twilio (3rd party) for buying phone numbers. Please make sure you have your twilio setup using the guide below.  

Launching an inbound campaign is a strategic move to ensure your OpenMic AI agents are ready to handle incoming calls efficiently. Before we dive into the setup process, it’s crucial that your Twilio account is integrated with OpenMic. This integration is key for managing call functionalities. Haven't set up your Twilio account yet? Refer to our previous guide on integrating Twilio to get started.

Step-by-Step Campaign Creation

  1. Head to the Workspace: Begin by navigating to the main workspace window in OpenMic. This is your command center for all campaign activities.

  2. Find the Campaigns Tab: On the left side of your screen, look for the Campaigns tab within the features pane. Click on it to move forward with your campaign setup.

  3. Start a New Campaign: Upon clicking the Campaigns tab, a pop-up will emerge titled Create New Campaign.

    Here, you're presented with fields to tailor your campaign:

    • Campaign Name: Give your campaign a unique identifier.

    • Campaign Type: Select Inbound Calling. This option sets your OpenMic.AI agent to answer calls around the clock.

    • Agent Selection: Choose an AI agent assigned to this specific campaign.

    • Phone Number: Decide which of your phone numbers (linked via Twilio) will receive customer calls. If you need more numbers, you have the option to purchase additional ones.

    • Time Zone: Specify the time zone relevant to your campaign for scheduling purposes.

    • Max Daily Budget: Set a budget cap for daily campaign expenditure.

  4. Launch Your Campaign: After filling out the necessary fields, click the Submit button.

    A new pane will appear in the campaigns window confirming the successful creation of your campaign. This pane displays critical details such as Status, Campaign Name, Agent Name, Direction, and Daily Budget.

Managing Your Campaign

Your new inbound campaign is now live and ready to serve your customers. You have the flexibility to toggle the campaign's status on or off directly from the campaigns window. This feature allows you to manage campaign activity based on your operational needs or budget considerations.
